How do I wear my cloth pads?
Much like regular disposables. Instead of sticky bottoms, these have a button clasp. You clasp them onto your underwear. These can shift about (sometimes) and depends on your crotch size, or how loose your underwear is. I recommend that your underwear are always “comfortably” snug, and or, you can always use a great tip and wear shorts / tights with your underwear while menstruating. I personally love the feel of them against my tummy, since I bloat.
How do I wash my pads?
Just rinse in cool water, then wash and dry with your regular laundry. As with any garment, wash with like colors.
A few tips:
- Avoid bleach or fabric softener – they’ll decrease the performance and lifespan of your pads.
- Don’t leave your pads soaking in water – this can lead to bacterial growth and mold.
- Avoid frequent use of Hydrogen Peroxide and Oxygen bleach products – they might be great for removing blood stains but they’re also super harsh on natural fibers.
When you receive your cloth pads, be sure to wash them before use! These are intimate items, and should be kept extremely sanitized .
